need new vavavoom for around £6000???

attended my mates 21st on saturday night, but had to be in work at 7 on sunday, so didn't touch the drink and drove home. it was about 4am when i left my mates flat to head home, about 10 minutes into the journey i was hit by a taxi doing 60mph in a 30mph!!! and yes!!! he wasn't english!!

i ended up in hospital for about 48 hours and then was let home. i was knocked out in the accident so didn't get to see my car until this morning and its pretty bad, the damage was just over £8000 so the car was a write off i'm fully comp so my insurance is paying out for my car, they've offered me £4000 which i accepted.

i was saving up for a audi TT which i was going to buy in december this year, but now i've had the accident i have to buy a car now. i already have £2000 saved plus my pay out for my car, so i have in total £6000 to send on a new one maybe a little more.

any ideas what car i should get for around £6000???

i went and checked out this mr2 the other day, which he wants £7000 for....



also thinking about staying with the clio but going for a clio 182....

And I really don't have a clue what cars cost in Britain, but I know it's much less than here, so 6000 pounds should get you a decent ride...

well, i'm turning 21 next week so i can now afford the insurance for something with a big engine that goes pretty dam fast, with alot of BHP on offer!!

can't be to big, thats why i'm looking at a clio 182 and mr2

the price of new cars over here is pretty dam high compared to europe so it'll have to be used.

but i'm open to any suggestions really as long as its around my budget....

well the taxi driver suffered 4 broken ribs, a dislocsted wrist, broken arm and really bad cuts to his head (due to hitting the windscreen) due to the fact he didn't have a seat belt on!!!!

yes he is being prosecuted!! but with our system he probably won't get fuck all, maybe they might hit him with a £100 fine or some shit like that!! our courts suck!!!

Maybe it's not a bad thing that we have mandatory traffic insurance that covers the damages of the (innocent) other party if you get in an accident. Insuring yourself is voluntary
