Local Short Tracks

Of course I am a big NASCAR fan, but only get to go to the races a couple of times a year. Expense, and distance being two factors as to why.

There is however a local small track with in 15 miles of my house, so I can get my racing fix every weekend. It's a 7/16 mile paved oval.

This got me to wondering if any other of the members went to their local small tracks. The track here is Ona Speedway (onaspeedway.net if you wanna check it out), with Late Model, Modified, Classic, Hobby Stock, Any Car, and U-Car divisions. And, of course specality races. For example tonights special is a "trailer" race. Yes, you hook a trailer to your car, and the last person to cross the finish line with the trailer still attached wins. If any participants actually show up to do this I will post some pictures later.

I live in Indianapolis. There are more tracks here than I even know of running more types of races than I'll ever be able to learn. NOt quite the part of the Speedway, but some of those races are a blast
