Ah, trusty google news search... Nothing on F1.com yet...
Anyway...
You'd think Jenson would be happy to have a ride in such a fine performing race car as the Honda... They may have had a rough go getting back into competition after being gone for a while but now they're already crushing everyone but Ferrari - and that includes BMW. If he went to BMW now, he may get more money but he won't necessarily be getting a better car...
Look at how much it tormented Jaques Villeneuve when he was getting destroyed in the BAR Honda, despite the truckloads of cash they were paying him... I guess if Jenson was really pissed off, he could spend next season destroying engines and tranmissions accidentally but that would likely just see him black listed by other teams for the future...
He sounds like he's ok with it though... It's not like he's going to be stuck in a bad team or with a slow car next year. A good season with BAR Honda will only make him worth more $$ the year after...
go to yahoo. com sports and read that f1 page.
as far as button remaining with BAR, it will increase competition with renault, williams and mclaren in trying to catch ferrari.
2006 button is a free agent, and if BAR stays competitive, they may want to match what williams wanted to give him.
buttan could have a problem next year with bar. if it is true what villneuve said, they are very good in mobbing in this team...
it will be hard Button and bar.
it is a pitty as BAR is making a strong car but carn't get good drivers that want to drive for them.
If anyone have a chance of getting ferrarri of the #1 spot, right now it looks like honda... maybe jenson isn´t feeling to good about the desicion, but I look forward to great racing next season!
i just hope that it will be much closer among the teams and drivers and not so boring as this year
the one thing this year did was to prove that bar and renault can compete on a par with mclaren and williams.
that sauber can be at least respectable.
bridgestone helped ferrari a lot in the early going; michelin is going to have to catch up/
button said today that he would drive hard for BAR next year, it is to his advantage.
for ferrari, the following questions: has schumie peaked and headed on the downslide that happens to all drivers?
will rubens get any better?
will ferrari have the better car out of the gate in australia?
i also think the new aggregate qualfication system will help.
i also think with the lower speeds required, maybe there will be more passing zones.
Another thing i just read. BAR got design award for new gearbox, so button will have a weapon ferrari does not.
and from reports, BAR is 2 years ahead of everyone else on this feature.
i read that montoya was saying that he thinks sauber would do better than bmw williams next year!!!! only ferrari would be unbeatable...
we will see if he is even able to beat massa in the same car...
