Bugatti Veyron - 1001 BHP (Not a Typo)

Now, We all know about the Bugatti Veyron but these pics were great. 1001 HP makes the Veyron the fastest production car made. Here is what the press said at the unveiling in Las Vegas last year....

The Bugatti Veyron’s 16-cylinder monster engine produces 1001 horsepower for a top speed of more than 250 mph. The French Bugatti Veyron is now considered the fastest production car in the world, narrowly edging out the Swedish Koenigsegg. The Bugatti was started up in the showroom, and many of us got an opportunity to acquaint ourselves with the cockpit. Most interesting was the gauge on far left side of the dash that measures horsepower up to 1001 HP! At $1.2 million it's a super sportscar, and very luxuriously appointed...

this car is so bad ass, it has an analog to measure hp in the dash.. so freeking sweet!!

Wow 1001 horsepower.. I'd kill myself in that car, but atleast i'd die in style.

That car is an automotic marvel... Jeremy Clarkson summed it up for me when he said on top gear...

"In a drag race you could let the McLaren (F1) get to 120mph before setting off in the Veyron. And you’d still get to 200mph first."

With 8.0 liter engine, with 4 fucking turbos, with 16 cylinders, it should fucking produce 1500bhp.

dude, if the car had that much power it'd takeoff every time you put the foot on the pedal.

At 1500 bhp it wouldn't be able to run on regular old 91 octane pump gas. Not to mention that at 1001 bhp the car requires only regular maintenance. It's pretty amazing.

Would love to hear the engine sound when it peaks!

If the bugatti had 4-5-6 liter engine, and 2 turbos, it'd be cool rig. But now it's too oversized, and doesn't receive respect from me.

I would buy 1000bhp Skyline, it has ability to throttle more quicker than bugatti.

throttle quicker??? what kind of tires would you own that would not get shredded going balls out with a 1000 hp??It will not behave anything like the Veyron...the skyline would be sketchy as hell to drive..The bigger engine doesn't get as abused because it works less.. The Veyron i'm pretty sure the knocked the hp down under 980. anyone know if this thing is on sale yet.. it's been post poned for almost 2 yrs.
