BMW Hopefully Mine Soon

I'm looking at a 95 325is, i dunno if any of you guys are BMW fans, but it seems like a good deal for 6k at only 100k miles. I checked it out, needs brakes and rotors but shes still fast... Thoughts anyone?

Not too up on BM's all I do know is that they have a next to nothing second hand value over here and the servicing is astronomical. Still at the end of the day its still a BM, so its gotta have something tasy about it.

I'm also looking for a bmw too! Currently looking at the 99+ 323/325s though. Also considering a bit older m3. But i love the e46 smoother e46 body style. Idk about the high miles though. Unless you plan on being the last owner of that one good luck in trying to sell it later on for a reasonable price.
Hey watty, bimmers really have a next to nothing second hand value over there? Over here, Bmw's seem to have a pretty nice resell value, or so i've noticed for the newer ones over here.

yeah i was about to say, bimmers here go for pretty good cash. i talked the guy into 6k cash and took the car for a spin, runs great, good and fast compared to the old 88 maxima i've been driving around. Last car i got 5 years ago started at 88k miles so im not to worried about resell, this'll probably be the last car i get before I'm making real money and i'll just trade it in one day way off in the future haha. As for servicing, that I'll agree is one expensive ass thing to get done. Oh and yeah the e46 is pretty nice...anything after the e30 is fine by me, i've always been a BMW fan.

Phenom, I'd go for the older M3, might not be the new style but hell, that thing will tool!! You'd definitaly own anything around in the corners.

yea, i've been thinking really hard and debating my brains out on what I should get. I've always liked bmw's but haven't been a knowledgeable fan though.
Just recently have i been taking the time to learn as much as i can before i buy. right now i'm driving an integra but want to get rid of it b/c i'll be going to grad school soon so i wanted to pick up a more grown up car. already can't help the fact that i look like i'm 15.
Any advice your info you got on the bit earlier model m3's you could give me to help sway my decision?

My knowledge on these things is very limited, I just recently (about 2 weeks ago) started getting into this kinda thing, but i have a really good friend who is the BMW expert...i'll see him sunday or monday and get him to post on here for ya, he knows every detail of every bimmer inside and out...it scares me, but he'll have some good advice.

As far as I can say, unless you plan on racing people, it maybe a little unnecessary. I totally think a 325 sport, in whatever config, is good enough. Fast, affordable, beautiful, and for the most part reliable. Just be prepared to shit money out of your ass when you need to get something fixed. I'll be picking up the 325is I'm getting tomorrow, so I'll be sure to post tomorrow night and tell you how it works out!

RIght on mandysman! I don't plan on racing, i was going to get into SCCA stuff with the integra but never got around to finish setting up my car for it. I just want to get something that i can still mod a bit and have fun with. But not really to race, b/c i can't afford it. what's the dill on the 325s? you have any bits of info that will sell me on them?

For me it was cost -vs- speed. This was the fastest "nice" car I could get for 6k. Two door, black on black, shes a beauty. I think the big appeal to me was getting back in a stick again (since i've been in an automatic for some time now) and having a car I can smile getting out of at school. I got both! I killed him and took the car! YAY no just kidding, I did however come away with a pimp black 1995 BMW 325is, my new baby is so beautiful!!! *cries tears of joy* She handles like pro, flying into corners with ease, acceleration, and grace. Truely a good deal for me I'll be sure and post some pics for you by monday night, cant find the damn camera cord
