I used to drive a Impreza WRX and that's just damn fast....simple.
But that mercedes AMG drives smooth as silk and bloody fast on demand even for a heavy car like that...
It has 355 HP , but it's not agressive.....unless you floor the peddle....

E55 are mental.....being German car there made for high speed. Like could cruise at 150mph and the would car be stable at that speed unlike some other cars…out there .probably because on German autobahn no speed limit.....now why cant it be like that in the U.K....instead we got 6000 speed cam's that are just a money generator for the government......bastards ::::thinks about moving to Germany for some high speed fun and gals:::

No, i have my own bussiness and allthough i have a working van, i need to visit customers to collect my hard earned money .
And my two co-workers allways steal my van so i have to have a car wich i can use for transporting things aswell as for moving clients to and from building locations...!

Guess I got in on the conversation too late - I would have suggested the BMW M5 which is like driving a leather recliner at 150 MPH. Nice looking car with space, comfort and plenty of speed. I know there are faster cars but the M5 is plenty fast. Congrats on the Benz thas is a sweet car as well. Keep us posted on how it performs for you.

I agree that the porsche is hot but as a ( former )MB driver I am biased - I say take the Benz and run with it.

This has been case for way too long!
Mercedes recalls E-class and SL

25,000 E-class saloons are to be checked Mercedes is recalling 35,000 E-class saloons, E-class estates and SL roadsters to check their high-tech braking systems.

The manufacturer wants to check more than 25,000 E-class saloons built since March 2002, 4000 E-class estates manufactured since March 2003 and 5000 SLs made after October 2001.

In some circumstances the electronic Sensotronic Brake Control system has been found to fail, although drivers are still able to brake via a hydraulic back-up system.

Mercedes says the potential SBC failure has only affected very high mileage cars that have performed an unusually high number of braking operations, but is recalling all models as a precaution.

Owners of affected vehicles are being contacted by post with the invitation of a free one-hour check and remedial work...

well at least stretchnutz has one last well built merc's they just have same build quality like they used to...
