By the way, I am not aware that an Audi S4 (or another S for that matter) was ever released without Quattro, at least here in NL it never was. For good reason I guess.
Had fun a while ago, racing my Audi A6 2.4 Quattro with a 911. I won! (the Porche remained at the traffic lights with spinning wheels in the snow )

I would go for the audi.

This afternoon i have driven the BMW 5-series, but that was less car than i expected.
I couldn't find a decend S6 avant, but i've seen an normal A6 and that just didn't have enough space in it.
So i bought the Mercedes 55 AMG.
It is fast,luxurious,and big enough......Yessss i think i'm happy with my choice

Go with the Volvo, a little on the conservative side but they really hold their value. I've had mine, '99XC V90, for over a year and teh car kicks ass. The Mercades would be my next choice, but you'll be paying mucho for repairs.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Acura. The new Acura TL is sweet!!
As far as the options you have listed...Audi all the way. BMW IMO is a girls car unless there is an M in front of it or it's a 7 series. And Volvo's are family and old peoples cars.
The Benz is an E-class which is not what I like. (even though it is AMG) I like the CLK 430(hard top only). Have you considered either of these cars?

I needed a Combi , a luxurious, fast car with a lot of space to transport things in......so neither of these cars you posted are an option.
And An Acura isn't available in Europe.....!

Have you considered Saab's 6 cylinder and turbo wagons?

It was second hand,bought it from the first owner.
Black saphir, 45.000 km driven and it has a black leather interior.
It drives like a family car on steroïds...

I used to drive a Impreza WRX and that's just damn fast....simple.
But that mercedes AMG drives smooth as silk and bloody fast on demand even for a heavy car like that...
It has 355 HP , but it's not agressive.....unless you floor the peddle....

I know for sure i'm gonna have some fun with that one...

Ooh yeah, and i bought it for 38.000 Euro here in Belgium...!

next week we're going to search for a nice long strip of German "autobahn" to testdrive this baby to the max...
