I want to put a system in my camaro, and I was wondering what are the best sounding subs. Aslo does anyone know if those boxes made for certain cars any good? There is a box from qlogic that I want to get, but I wonder if they are ant good. If anyone can help thanks.

I had 2 12 inch Phoenix Gold subs behind the seat of my old Chevy shortbox and they were sweet.

JL and Rockford Fosgate are pretty reputable companies. I've had MTX, which was fine, but am now running an Alpine sub and amp. Which i like alot.
It depends what you're going for. Are you looking in to competing with your bass on the SPL level? Or are you just looking to add bass, w/o regards to a certain type.
From what I've heard about boxes made for specific cars, like stealthboxes, custom, etc. They are pretty good. They are made to fit and leave you room, while also giving you the right amount of airspace for the sub you use. Only thing is, if you upgrade the sub, you are stuck with a box that it fits in but might not have the right amount of airspace.

I like Audioband Flame Q's and they're not as expensive as the Pheonix Gold (way over priced....no offense Wooderson).

Like Phenom said depends where you want to go but Rockford and MTX are pretty good I always liked Pioneer's and I am in the process of getting some. About the Q-Logic Box I also own a Camaro and the only thing I can see wrong with the box is, its kind of expensive and it only leaves you with .685 cubic feet per side for 2 -10" subs and only .85 cubic feet per side for 2- 12" subs so you may not have enough room for certain subs.
*Off Topic* - Does any one know where I can get a pair of Sparco Torino Racing Seats for cheap?

Crutchfield makes the twin rear box for the Camaro/Firebird. You set it in place and there is room for a medium-sized amp on the opposite side of the jack/spare...or you can put it above the axle, on the flat part under the window (might be bad idea, though). If you have t-tops, you can forget it. That space would then be taken (and that's why I said, forget it.)
The only thing I would recommend doing is just replacing the factory speakers with some quality, aftermarket ones. If you have the 500-peak monsoon, if can handle quite a bit and make them sound allright. You have to be careful putting bass in an F-body. They rattle enough as it is, and you don't have alot of room, anyway.
It's tough to find a good buy on Sparco seats, especially the Torino. If you don't mind an imitation, I have seen sparco copies (almost the same, just no Sparco embroidery) priced pretty reasonably.

Any of the JL W6 series will rock your vehicle. I would think that one 12" would hook your Camaro up right, but I would think you would need a custom box to leave yourself with any trunk space. Or if you really want to get crazy you could pull the rear seats and build a custom fiberglassed enclosure.
Sparco Seats are never found cheaply. Best bet is to hunt around the internet and get in on a group buy. You will save some cash, but not a whole lot.

Alright not to be an ass but if you can compare a low-end car audio company like audiobahn to PG then you have no idea what you are talking about. Although their new line of subs kinda bombed PG has been and still are one of the leading companies in car-audio. To put audiobahn in the same sentence with PG is an insult. To answer Hdog's question though either PG tantrum x 12's with an LPL and a line driver or JLW6's would be your best bet these two subs are some of the hardest hitting subs around.
As for that retarded jackhammer even if you had the money to buy it its pointless who wants something that huge and ugly in there car. Not to mention the fact that at CES(consumer electronics show) the only place they could put the damn thing was on the bed of a pickup. I had 8 15' tantrum woofers in the back of my land rover and even that was overkill but at least it looked good.
P.S. Phoenix Gold is not over priced its worth every penny
