When I was at school, I lusted after a Countach (And Amanda in 3B...), but in my wizened state (24), my current drool-worthy car has got to be the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish.

The thing just looks *right*, and there's a certain something about being able to say "Shall we take the Aston?"

You'll probably say "cliche" but I'd have to go with the Ferrari 360 Modena. It's out of my price bracket also at the moment, but I know what I'm talking about because I have test driven it, and it's truly amazing. You don't so much drive it as wear it - the handling, response and road holding is that good. Ferrari used their F1 wind tunnel to develop its ground effect (there are special ducts underneath). On the test run I was doing over 100mph around twisty corners in the English countryside. It never once let go.

seeing all these sports cars makes me wonder why not just get the best one? McLaren F1 beats all these cars in every category so who cares about ferrari's and aston martins for handling and speed? get one if you like the looks but don't say it's because it handles well

I'll say it again then - I'd go for the Ferrari because it handles extremely well. Have you actually driven any of the cars you are talking about Psychism?

I would not wish to own an F1 because
a) the drivers seat is in the centre of the cockpit and your hot babe would have to sit behind you not beside you
b) a service costs £40,000 or just over 57,000 euro
c) because of the central drivers position it's very difficult to use on the road - as several owners have discovered when they crashed them!
d) I've talked to an actual F1 owner.
