They're the cliches we love to hate - in fact, we're so "over them" that most Australians cringe "24/7" when ever television hosts, commentators, politicians or teenagers open their mouths!
The most annoying phrases uttered in Australia include "at the end of the day", "let's do lunch", "it's not rocket science" and "24/7" among many others.
When it comes to our predictable politicians, "working families" heads the list of our most-hated terms, followed by "not ruling anything in or out", "no magic bullet", "can I just say" and "the jury's still out on that one".
At work, "push the envelope", "110 per cent" and "think outside the square" puts us "on the same page".
We also "totally" hate it when Teens voice their "random" slang of cliches including "my bad", "so hot right now", "fully sick" and the ever-popular "whatever".
I personally like very positive phrases such as "down under".
