At least apple realised people would try to install windows on an intel machine, so they offered a program to do it safely and easily. I could never see mr gates offering such a service. I think it shows the confidence apple have in their product, to offer an alternative.

I like PC's so I bought one (wait three). If the Mac OS were available for PC's I'd wonder who would be foolish enough to use it rather than just outright buying a Mac The alternative is to either buy a Mac or buy a PC. Seems like Mr. Jobs knew that superiority might be in the number of users and the inferiority of their (Mac's) value added

Mac vs. PC. PC's are cheaper, easier to replace parts, more software choices, compatible with most things. I'm not going to say that Macs arent nice, but I just couldn't see why I would get one.
