and?? any perishable food is going to grow mold in less than five weeks. what's the point??

Why would you want to do that anyway ?,all food would look like crap after that length of time !

The point is that in all that time the fries never changed.

even so, all that really indicates is that the fries have no moisture. That probably vaires some with the cooking time and temperature, but I'm not even all that surprised at that. I've seen a few that were left at the bottom of the bag a day old. They are generally dried out and hard.

Ya know, you're right. Perhaps I should take my video camera over to my fridge right now. Problem is, I couldn't begin to guess how much longer than ten weeks any of that suff has been in there...
