Well, it was really easy for me, as I have a degree in the sciences, but just because it has some 50/50 questions doesn't make it "easy."
If you were simply guessing, the likelihood of getting 13 out of 13 50/50 questions right is still just 0.012%

Yeah math screws me over again, but some qualified guesses gets you a long way in that test

Agreed. Not a difficult test. 13/13. But it says that only 1006 adults were in the original sample. Perhaps most of them were from Arizona State University.

I see what you did there.

Anyone who doesn't get 13 our or 13 is either an idiot OR has been schooled in a charter Christian school. I say this because they are taught things that are totally faith based and unscientific. Micheal deGrasse Tyson has a new Cosmos show going on right now (a resurrection of Carl Sagan's Cosmos). Last week, for instance, he was talking about the stars being billions of years old. The Fundies went fucking nuts. They inundated him with emails calling him all manner of Satan AND explaining that "God made the stars on the 4th day."
And Fundies are being taught there is absolutely NO climate change taking place.
FOX NEWS just this past week emphatically stated, "All science is wrong!"
Enjoy...

Fundies? I didn't realize the adult novelty underwear had a say in the matter...seems odd.
Also...if people didn't get 13/13, that doesn't make them an idiot...if they missed a couple questions, it makes them about average. If you got 2/13...then I'd say you're an idiot.

If you were in Christian Schools for 12 years, it was a Catholic school, not a Fundie school. I didn't realize there were so many New Apostolic Reformationists here.

RE: Agendas, politics, opinions, etc...
One is entitled to their own opinions. One is not entitled to their own facts. It doesn't matter what people "believe" or what they "feel."
There are realities to the world we live in, whether people understand them or not, whether people like them or not, and those realities exist whether we think they should or not.
Every question asked in the science literacy test is factual and can be verified. The answers the site gives to the questions are accurate.
The veracity of a statement is not determined by the discomfort it creates.

Interesting stuff on the results page for the quiz.
Girls scored higher than boys on two questions - one about antibiotics and one about how to conduct a scientific study (splitting the groups and giving medicine to one group but not the other).
All the rest the boys scored higher on.
Also, in every instance the higher the education level, the more correct answers there were.

13 out of 13. Tarquin, you just made the point I was going to make. Not sure what it says about women that the only questions they scored higher on relate to drugs, but I'm sure we can infer some random inaccuracies from it.
