Would IRC Kill WBW?

Just wondering if an IRC chat channel would kill the WBW community, albeit the forums and personal messages (if anyone even uses them at all).

Thoughts, hazings for asking, and anything else is welcome.. Just please no rubber dildo's being thrown my way. They scare me.

We have tried it in the past and didn't work out as well as planned.

We are working on some side projects that include a chat, but that will be launched beginning next year.

But would IRC kill the forums? Would the forums not turn into a pic posting, penis-naming, complaint, fest and for everything else that might ruin wbw?

the 2 times i remember trying them here....we had interest for a while, but then it just died on its own

Hehe, it was me and wit_ who first started the #whatboyswant.com channel, that worked quite OK at first, but it died soon like tino stated above. It just can't work imho. Forums are great because the earlier discussion is always here, IRC basically starts when you enter the channel.
