It's called MSNTV now and they have a couple of million subscribers. There's also a broadband version. It's pretty cool to surf the net on a big-screen TV.

webtv became fashionable about 4 years ago, but quickly died and bought out by MSN

most people rather have a tv and computer seperatly, and i don't think you could save anything to the Webtv.. you know like pics and vids and crap.

Actually my mom has the new MSNTV 2, and it's pretty cool really. Perfect for an older non-pc-intuitive person. With DSL its extremely fast, user friendly, and all from the comfort of your living room chair. Not to mention after a rebate it was only like 70 bucks, and the monthly subscription is like 10 bucks, I believe. And yes, you can save as many pics, vids, sites etc as you want..favorites or bookmarks, or something.

She digs it. And so do I...and will try WBW when Im up there over Christmas..umm..after she goes to bed. Is that...wrong???

Seriously, it's nothing to just totally ignore anymore..as I said, for an old person or even for a poor person. Cheap and fast, not bad.

warpig where is all tha info stored? on the server? in the remote ontrol?

the onloy good thing i see about not having a cache is surfing pron without leaving a rtace in the history

if that 10 monthly fee includes the connection, it a great idea, more Tv than Pc in peoples home so yes, it is a good idea.
