In FF on Ubuntu, the site looks terrible and runs slow. Possibly an issue with some plugins, possibly just some compatibility thing. A tip for any other ubuntu-ers, I switched over to KDE and am using Konqueror and it looks great and the site "works" way faster. For me, this was the reason for the slowdown not because of server issues.

only thing i really understood there was firefox and plug ins
would like to know more since this site is kinda worthless to me, unless i'm only interested in the forum board...andas some else said about guns......there are thousands of forum boards out there..........

It appears to me that V5 is not being tested for cross-browser compatibiity, which is a shame because there are obviously alot of people having trouble. Frankly, I've been complaining that V5 works horribly (actually not at all) for me with JavaScipt enabled, but simply disabling JS at WBW is not an option because many of the site features rely on JavaScript. There are free services available to help troubleshoot these issue for cross-browser compatibility.
