WBW Reward System. *Update Page 8.*

Hello friends, and that one guy I hate. You know who you are. Jerk.


(Note: I use new threads as an excuse to post pictures of Avril Lavigne)

So, now on to the serious business. Here at WBW, we love contributions, the site is built on them, and it's time to give back to the members that make this site great.

Have I peaked your interest yet? I hope so, because this is pretty neat.

Basically, if you make a thread, and we (moderators) think it's fantastic enough, we're going to give you a sponsor membership for a short period of time.

Now, this isn't going to be a flashy, everyday type thing. It's going to be a way of rewarding quality posters. Even if it's your first thread, if it's good enough, you just might get a sponsor membership out of the deal.

You cannot submit threads.

The only people that can submit threads, are moderators, so yeah, just throwing that out there to avoid any confusion.

Here are some examples of extraordinary threads that have been submitted by mods so far:

Now those are extreme examples, your thread won't need 100 pages or a perfect 5 star rating, but it will need an above average level of effort and content. I mean, this is a business, we can't just hand out sponsorships, but we can reward hard work, so that's what this is all about. As you can see, these threads are in many different subforums, and this may shock some of you, but this is not just a porn site, we're going to reward quality, excellent threads of any nature.

This idea, which is mostly Bangles, is basically hoping to boost the effort and creativity around here, because to be honest, a lot of you have been slacking in that department. I'm looking at you RD.

There won't be any special business when your thread has been selected, you'll get a PM from a mod, and a shiny new star for your hard work, good for you, champ.

Now, I think I've laid this out pretty well, but..since this is the thread announcing it and such, feel free to hit me with some questions, or comments you have.

Yeah, I don't know how anyone can be expected to read through what is the equivalent to half a page of the average novel.

Man, the internet needs to get a jump on some sort of picture book technology, that sums everything up in pictures and all text is narrated by Christopher Walken.

That said, if you condensed all the stuff I read on the internet (economics/finance blogs, bulletin boards, news, boobies, wikis, etc) I'm pretty sure I'd easily blow by that...but then I'm guessing you would too.

Lol. I own over 1000 books now, and I try and read at least half to a third of an average sized novel a night. Off topic though soo...

I was just kidding, I know like 50% of my threads are wall-of-text ones that only a handful of people read, and I've accepted that.

And stop looking at her like that, it makes her feel uncomfortable, and perhaps if I come to her rescue like some white knight, she'll realize how much she adores me and wants to be with me and drop that loser dude (whaddas he think he is, some sort of prince or something?) and get with teh Dross.

Which is totally an awesome plan, because chicks dig when you get all stalk-y and possessive, especially when you do it from afar while barely knowing them personally. Totally advanced level chick-attracting skills by us dudes who play that game.

Seriously, I think this is a great idea and I hope it sparks creativity from the WBW'ers.

It certainly makes spending hours to find clues only to be guessed in seconds worthwhile.
