waiting to be approved???

About a month ago I uploaded 16 pics and they are still sitting in Que. WHY???

Pics take time to be reviewed and approved/rejected. Are you sure it was a month ago ? Because the queue wait is more around 1/2 weeks

nope it has been about a month and in the past i have uploaded pics and a week later they are posted.

That's weird. About now it's more like two weeks to come up in the queue.

I've noticed it seems to be longer than 2 weeks but I just assumed it was because there were thousands of photos to be checked. And if it's done in a random way (and not in an actual queue basis) then that would also be a factor.

Looks like somebody went ahead and modded your pics. It does take around 2 weeks or so to make it through the queue but if you upload something that's been in the queue for too long (like a month or more) feel free to shoot me a private message and I'll help you out. Just remember that at any given time there's over 20,000 pics waiting to be modded.

woo hoo thans everyone. i went back and checked on another site i visit to check the date of when i posted my pics (which was the same day as these) and it was 27 days. i was not trying to start trouble i was just curious as to why all of a sudden it takes so long.

well i still have a reasonably long queue of pics waiting to be uploaded or declined... could take a look at those perhaps??

Yeah the queue is still pretty big. We managed to get it under 10k for a while but now it exploded back to 20k+. That might be why the time to get reviewed increased.

This is going to continue to be a problem until we cap the maximum uploads. Nobody should be able to have more than 500 pics in the queue at one time but there are members here with thousands of pics uploaded all at once. As long as we allow individual members to swamp the queue with thousands of pics at once, it's going to take longer to moderate everyone's pics.

I put 2 pics of my wife over 2 weeks ago and the are still waiting to be uploaded

I have a few waiting as well. Also, if all of the posting rules get followed how is it that some pictures get approved and some don't? Thanks for all you do.

Done, around 10 were pro, 17 were accepted, the rest was already in the galleries.

If all the rules are followed, a pic can still be deleted if its already on the site (repost) which happens more often that you'd thought.
I've done your queue too. 1 was too bad quality, 1 was a repost and the rest was accepted.


I'm not going to do that every time because it's too much work but as the queues were small here I thought it would be a good example for people wondering why pics get deleted/accepted.

I agree. Mine have been sitting in queue for about 2 1/2 weeks now.

Love this website but have been waiting a while for my pix to get approved as well. My movies were no problem, those got accepted immediately.

Perhaps there could be limits based on the level of the member? That way those that frequently contribute to the site are rewarded by having a larger queue allowed (500), and those that are fairly new could be limited to 50 in the queue at any one time, for example. This would rise as the member progressed through the levels. Just a thought...

What we discussed with Diz would be similar but not depending on the level. The upload limit would increase/decrease depending on the proportion of accepted/rejected uploads (It would be even better combined with a way to put the reason of the deletion so that reposts for example aren't counted as this isn't really an offence).

I went ahead and modded about half your uploads. Keep in mind that grainy/low resolution pics and blurry/out of focus pics are not accepted. Otherwise you had some good stuff. Please hold tight and we'll try to get through the rest of your uploads as soon as possible.
