Visa/MasterCard

Are you still trying to get payment arrangements with Visa/Mastercard ? If so any ideas on how long it will take.

I was quote a fee of 20 pounds for a bank transfer from my bank, which i won't pay out of principle!

Am i just better off signing up for AMEX?

Do any Brits here have a cheaper way of doing bank transfer?

We waiting for interpay to give us a merchant number,.. this organisation is slow, so we are waiting for them to autorize us as mastercard/visa merchant. The scripting is finished only waiting for those guys

Shouldn't be too long. I got my merchant number for my buisness in under three weeks.

but you have american express? that's bull. I have VISA/and MC for my buisness, and American Express. They should make it so u can do all three. Of course, you can always try a different supplier. When I got my CC Machine, there will like a million offers...I just picked the one that was the most conveinent for me.

Chasing: I am going to fix it one way or the other.. but this is again a punch in my face.. I am currently working very hard on WBWmodels.com if I can get a merchent account for that website, I can simple add the same payment system to WBW. and WBWmodels.com they will accept.. The concept was correct in their point of view.

Rocky: Some good news, after a lot of calling with Interpay and PSPs, we finaly got green light for becoming a visa/mastercard merchant.. We now have to wait 2 weeks max...

Another trick, if you still have problems, is to find a business owner friend who already has a merchant account for what they do. Get the payment made to them at the fruit and veg warehouse / car tyre franchise / whatever / and they transfer the money to you for a small handling fee. It also helps them by increasing their volume, so they can negotiate better terms in future. Both parties win.

I have problems paying for membership because I do not use a credit card though. Maybe you can accept cash in Euros from people like me in the UK? Like Rocky says, the banks just take the piss when it comes to wire transfers. The last one I did was to America, took three months to sort (they LOST it!) and cost me 50% of the actual payment due.

Captain_Chaos: Actually, there are some other ways of payment in the UK we will support later on.. I have to talk to my PSP about enabling more ways of payment in UK because there are some more..
