Video ratings

can someone please tell me why im unable to rate videos on this site anymore when I go up to where the stars are on video im given no option to give my rating?

From what I see, your voting rights have been automatically taken the 28-10-2013 due to too much low votes for pictures (can't say the movies votes are really high either).

We still have to look into the auto take away of voting rights, it was for preventing bots from voting a lot of 1's; but think it needs to cleared up and changed. I am going to look into it so you get your voting rights back.

Read again, it's 1.5 stars for movies but the problem wasn't there as you're above that, it was due to your consistent very low voting for pictures (below 3).
Also, it's automatic, so nobody was directly involved with that.

Maybe the system could be changed so that only the category you voted too low would be blocked. It's been discussed before and it seems like Diz acknowledged this.

I never really understood giving a vote lower than 5 on the babes and cars and 2 on vids... But that is just me...

because we are all individuals "NOT LIKE THE BORG" from Star Trek and have different tastes DOH !!

yeah but if i don't like a pic, i just move on with it instead of trying to make the gal seem like a dog. But again that is just my opinion. They are like a-holes, everyone has one.

Once again that's what's the button is there for too rate !! So if you don't like pic / movie you don't rate now that's kinda dumb but that's just my opinion

Either you only vote for pictures you don't like, which defeats the purpose of having a voting system, or you really hate nearly all of the content you are seeing, which begs the question of why you continue to look at said content.

The voting system works fine and reflects members tastes pretty well. But that topic has been discussed extensively on the forums already.

I can understand both sides of the conversation. But I agree with you kyle...

It would be interesting to see how somebody would rate his own uploaded pictures.
Would he give every of them a 10 because they realy are pictures he likes or just to get an higher score.
Or will he rate them as critical as he rates other pictures....

You have the freedom to vote whatever score you want for pics and vids. It's just that when a member votes very low all the time he's either a bot or a douchebag. I understand that everyone has different tastes but the amount of variety here is such that nobody should be voting 3 or lower for everything unless he's a troll or prefers men.

The average to get your voting rights removed has been lowered to 1.5 for pics and 1.25 for movies and threads, with a minimum vote count of 50. Now, if you get your voting rights removed you can't be something else than a bot or a dick, like Davey said.
