Unposted Pics?

Why are so many of my pics in queue for a long time and then never posted?

Not sure, I've been experiencing the same issue.

There's currently over 20,000 pics in the queue. The mods are doing what we can. We appreciate you guys contributing and we'll try to get through them as fast as possible.

There have been dozen of threads like this before. Maybe you should make a research before...

There are currently 20.000 pics waiting to be moderated so it's normal that you have to wait a week of so for your pics to get reviewed.
Then, pics are deleted if they don't respect the rules. As an example, out of the 9 pics remaining in your queue, 2 were too small.
Then, even if they are fine, pics can be deleted because they are already on the site (reposts). It was the case for 1 pic in your queue.
I've quickly moderated and accepted the last 6 pics.

Sometimes it jus takes time, and sometimes your pics don't get chosen. I am sure that they are doing the best that they can, I have uploaded lots of pics that didn't get used but it's nothing personal.

"Reposts"? The pics I post are mine (either I've taken them or they've been taken specifically for me)...is this an error if two files have the same name even though they're different pics? For instance, I know I've had multiple files called "unnamed.jpg" - but they were not the same actual picture. Thanks!

There are multiple levels to pick out duplicates. When you upload, some get rejected because they're identical to something already in the galleries. We so have software to pick out similar pics when the mods go thru the queue. And then the mods frequent recognize others that still snuck through. In any case, it isn't for the file name at all.

So. If these pictures were being taken specifically for you but are coming up in our programs because they are already on the site.... Sorry. I guess they weren't specifically for you...

I'm not saying this is the case with your pictures...but do you know how many times I've heard that before when I was a pic mod? And how many times it wasn't true? Hundreds of times.

Guys. Take it easy on him. I was unaware of how ridiculous the queue is before I started modding pics. Everyone just chill. If the pics are original, and meet the standards, they'll make it to the gallery.

I don't think anyone is picking on him.

But yes, most people don't know how large the pic queue is. Over 20,000 right now and I think that we probably comfortably get through 12,000 or so in a typical week, depending on some things.

can't all the mods just quit their jobs and put a little more focus into reviewing and approving photos? I understand how little interest you have in making this site wonderful for all of us loyal users, but in the case of UncleBoner who has logged in 4 times over the past 6 months, I do feel he has earned the right to critique your methods. Sooo, ummm I'm gonna need you to go ahead and cut out on the "career" and load up on some coffee and/or redbulls, put in some real quality hours here at the WBW and maybe you can all up that 12,000 photos to hmmm lets say 15,000 in a week? yeaaahhh if you could go ahead and do that, that would be great, OK?

The one pic I said was a repost was in the galleries. Yes, the exact same picture was automatically detected and I was able to confirm it with my eyes. So I guess "your" picture have already been around on the internet.
