Topic Locking

Can someone please explain the sudden rush to lock topics by the WBW crew? There have been several topics, two of mine specifically where myself, and others had not seen the pictures before, or at least the entire set and a WBW moderator quickly locked the topic. Unlike the moderators, we do not all live on WBW and there are often going to be picture sets that are missed by people. So instead of locking things down let them run their course.

send a pm to the forum moderators and they can explain what happened to your threads

Threads get locked at 50 pages so it's not as hard to moderate a super massive thread.

Threads also get automatically locked by the system after nobody has posted in them for after 30 days.

But like mistral said, if you're interested in the exact reason why it was locked...just PM a mod, they'll even open it for you if it was just auto locked after 30 days..

They were just opened, and under 50 pages, I have sent messages to both mods that locked the posts and gotten no responses.

For example, this girls I understand has had some parts of different sets of her posted, but many of these I had never seen on here before and I am pretty sure that there are others that did not see the entire set, so why lock it?


This chick I had never saw on this sight before, yet it was locked up PDQ.


I have been a "lurker" on this site for quite a while, and only recently decided to try to contribute, but with things getting locked down because a handful might be a repost, or the last time the pictures were posted was a long time ago, it is making me rethink my decision.

I didn't stress until I decide to take the time to try to contribute. May just have to go back to being a "lurker" and solve that problem.

There are a lot of things you can do, other than raging about it. Maybe contact the mods that locked the thread, and ask him what happened..and skim through the stickies in the fourm.

It's awesome that your contributing, but it seems like people have one sour experience and then go apeshit..when I'm sure it can be worked out fairly easily. I don't mod in those fourms...so I don't know why your threads were locked. I guess I'll wait for one of those fine chaps to pop in here and answer your questions.

Although to be honest, the first picture you posted is one of the most reposted picture set I've seen on the internets.

The reasoning was, to paraphrase, repost. Yet there were people on the posts that had enjoyed to posts, and had not seen some of the pictures, or seen the photos in a while and liked it enough to comment and vote.

If it was just one topic that got locked like this, I would chalk it up to shit happens, but that is not the case.

Well, like you said, not everyone is on here all the time, I'm sure the mods will get back to you in a timely fashion, since just ignoring you would be fairly rude.

We try to cut down on reposts because they just waste server space..like I said, if they see a set that is rare and they've only seen around a few times, they'll probably let it slide because a lot of people probably wouldn't have seen it. That being said though, they can't just leave a post full of pictures the majority of the population has seen, even you yourself said you had seen the first set of pictures scattered around. What they're supposed to do with reposts is delete the thread and PM you why....because it's pointless to lock a thread of reposts, either leave it open or delete it..

But, it's no reason to be discouraged...maybe even ask the mods where a good place to find newer content would be, I'm sure they would help out...a lot of are mods are pretty cool. Especially me...I'm awesome.

If the threads that got locked had those pictures, it's because they have been posted probably 100 times each..easy. In fact, I think I was one of the original posters of that second chick, and that was back in 2005 or 2006. I mean, if it's a repost, we lock it. That's the way it always has been.

So what you are saying is that before we post, we should look through an old "repost" forum from 2+ years ago. Again, as mods this is your choice, however I can also say that I disagree with your decision. Both of these women based on your "repost" forum do not have a name associated with them, so when I am checking for "repost" material how do you expect me, or any other potential contributer to check to see if they have been posted before? Look up "no name girl"?

I know that I am probably blowing this out of proportion, but it is very annoying when I attempt to contribute, and others are giving the posting positive remarks because they have not seen all of the pictures before, or may not have seen any of the pictures before, and the topic gets locked because it is a "repost"

You did contribute. Just because a thread gets locked, or you posted old material doesn't mean that you didn't contribute.

The way I see it, instead of complaining because you had two whole threads locked, you can go and post other pics. You seem to be concerned with contributing, so then go and contribute. Threads get locked or deleted constantly, that's just the way of life in WBW-land. I think you should try to just throw out as much of everything quality that you can find, and eventually, you'll figure out what is and isn't new. Let us sort it out until then. Yes?

No what they are saying... a ton of shit has been posted here before, so don't be surprised if it's locked. Do a random hodge podge thread with all sorts of pics... those messes never get locked.or just go back to lurking.

Not much else to say, really. Except that your concern that newer members might not have seen the pictures. The pictures are still there to be seen, but with the thread locked, there won't be hundreds of posts saying "repost".
