Thread Flagging.

As many people have noticed as of late we have a nice little rise of spammers on the forums. Too make it easier, I think that post flagging should become visible from /getnew/ and the other subforums. Just as new threads or updated threads are highlighted in alternating colors of blue; as opposed to untouched turn to grey. I think flagged posts should be highlighted in red or some other color to make it easier for people to spot. Especially moderators.

It would also encourage people to report threads more since it'll be visible to everyone. The attached image is a mockup of how it would look in use.

Thats kind of the point Thanquol. A big red thread is gonna be hard to miss, and it will tip off people to stay away from spam and for mods to edit and then lock it.

Wouldnt it be better to just lower the contrast between the text and the background for spam. That way the eye wont be distracted, it will just see a greyish bar with some slightly darker or lighter text, find it uniteresting and skim over to the next topic.

Big red marker will make it interesting for the eye and drag us there. Atleast until we get used to the system.


Edit: The best way got to be to make the spam "invisible", red marker would make it extra visible. Some kind of marker is definetly needed though.

I suppose, but it needs to be eye catching other wise it'll be passed over by the mods.

...or do you mean that the spam flagging is something done by users?
