Thank you System

I have an idea for a feature.

The idea is to basically have a thank you type system in all the pic/movie threads.

There will be an extra button in the thread, next to add reply etc.. that when pressed will create a post that says "The following member has said thank you".

All future clicks on the thank you button will then add the persons name to the original thank you post.

I'm not sure how complicated this would be to do.

My reason for wanting something like this is because I get very frustrated when I take the time and energy to create a post with screens and nobody bothers to respond.

I didn't really care for comments in the begining but it's nice to know that the effort you are putting in is either appreciated or not. It's starting to tick me off as much as the lack of screens in movie posts.

NIce idea! It frustrates most of our posters here at WBW... posting nice vids and pics have always been a thankless job here at WBW. I'm just glad people still post anyway... but it is nice to get feedback so you don't feel like you are posting stuff for no reason.

Just put it in your sig, and then your always thanking everyone

i think it might help things a bit as people dont seem to mind clicking buttons as much sa they mind leaving comments.

but i guess the thread vote achieves the same thing unless u do a centralised thing for every user... like a thank u count... just counts the number of times other users clicked thank u

People don't vote either so it falls under the same argument.

That's the problem. Hardly anybody does.

That's quite a neat idea, and I'm all in favour of anything that makes it easier to contribute/thank/give feedback etc and thus increase general participation, but I quite like to look through a thread and read all the slightly different "thank you's" and comments.

you just have accept the fact people don't rate or comment babes, even though you are saving them hours of searching the net for the best. one poster commented that he could find the pix some one posted on any porn site. well WTF is WBW

i've only been postin' babes a short while and i learned early that you have to do it for your own satisfaction.

it's time consuming to find , edit , post etc. you can get 1000 views , maybe 12 comments and 3 ratings.if they're reluctant to post or rate they'd likely ignore another button

if you want comments, start a ford/chevy; tastes great/less filling; ginger/maryanne or the ever popular shaved/unshaved thread
