Should we separate short videos from long-form videos?

Some members suggested they’d like to have short videos (under 1 minute) separated from longer ones. If we do this, should we design an interface similar to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels?

I am just wondering if this makes more work to movie moderators..

Personally, I think that would just be extra work on your end for something I would be indifferent to. The vids already say the length before you click into them, so there isn’t much of a surprise, and you can also filter by length already.

No, as the moderation process will stay the same. Only videos will be seperated by length like youtube does with shorts / and regular videos.

I only have to code it ones and will be a good feature, and for moderation it will change nothing. I already added filtering for duration in the overviews a couple of days back.

Loooong time member that rarely ventures into the forums, so yell at me if I’m way off base here and I’ll quietly go away.

I think just having a way to filter by video length like Google and other sites have would be a massive step in the right direction so that would be awesome if implemented

Also, in my opinion the search function in general is the most frustrating part of the site. Only exact searches, min of 3 letters to search, doesn’t account for variations (“blow job” vs blowjob&rdquo or partial hits within a word (“blow” will not return hits for “blowjob&rdquo for examples.

Anyways, other than that I love this place, and you guys do an amazing job with the site.

@JonS511: I have added the duration filtering for "categories / new" in the video section. See the screenshot attached at this post.

Yeah the search kinda sucks, have to look into what is way better way of creating a search function and maybe a sort of personalized suggestion (dunno how I would implement).

we can serch Videos with the Tags system, no? but certainly search depends heavily on the video title -which is not the most effective function
and in general, you have coded lots of features that some members/ we don't know or are not familiar with.

How should we call the shorter videos?

Shorts?
Quickies?
Reels?
Bites?
