Server Problems

Why every night between 12:00 and 1:00am ET do the servers crap out?

It happens almost every night, and lasts for about 15 minutes. The servers will come to a grinding halt with ungodly long page opening times if they will even open at all. The process time in this pic says 12 seconds, but it was actually more like 30 seconds to a minute before the page finally opened. The last two nights it happened at 12:25, and tonights episode lasted until about 12:40, and now things are back to normal.



Sometimes it's so bad and frustrating I will close all my WBW tabs and do other things for 15 minutes or so, and when I come back things are alright again.

Has anyone else noticed the nightly server problems?

Absolutely, there are time that I can't even log on. Tonight for example, I waited about 2 minutes to load the page, then I gave up and tried later.

yes it happens EVERY day for me, every day without fail..

all i do is switch to the fefe server, its the alice server that fucks up, and jamie is 'supposed' to help

No HG thats not the point - If I wanted to do something else for 15 minutes I would have already been doing it. It happens every single night. Usually about 12:15, but always between 12:00 and 1:00 ET. Sometimes it lasts 5 minutes, sometimes 20 to 30 minutes. The average is 15 minutes. It is highly annoying, and frustrating, and I would like to know why this happens every night.

Is it server maintenance for example, or a server glitch that Diz-X needs to know about so it can be fixed?

Edit: @ Latino - I usually try to switch to FeFe, but the last two nights even that didn't help. I had to wait til the servers were done doing what ever it is they do at that time (take a doobie break maybe) until the problem cleared up.

I've tried switching to FeFe or Jamie, but it doesn't seem to help any.

i always stay on fefe, and i have all kinds of problems, i posted a thread, started out being able to load 3 pics, then it said servers timed out 3 times in about 4 posts, went to 1 pic per post for a few pics, then was able to go to 2 pics per post and the servers only timed out once, then i just loaded the pics one at a time, if i load pics one at a time i usually never get timed out...but then i'm just being a "point" hog, but i'm not going to fight having to redial up all the time to add pics, also i sent small, maybe 30 pics zip files, maybe 2 and 1 with about 10 and was timed out twice doin that

i dont know why it does it, once the jami server was installed....it was supposed to be fixed..

it is NOT server maintenance, and the issue is known by diz, but i think since V5 will be a completely different code/setup/machine...he isnt putting priority on this issue???? i dont know

Yesterday I also was only able to upload pics 1 at a time. I tried several times to upload 3 at a time and it would just time out.

@ Latino: Thanks for sending to Diz mate. You might be correct that since v5 is so close he might not be worried about this. I just think it's weird that it happens at the same time every day. What kind of glitch could be on a set schedule?

Has to do with a scheduled process, cleaning up cache ect ect.
