Rate the Mods

I raised this point in a topic earlier today that is now locked. For what ever reason the idea was not picked up on and discussed further, so I thought I would make a topic dedicated to it.

I am a sponsor member. That means that I, and others like me help pay for the running of this site.

As a paying member I feel that I should have a say in what happens here.

There are a couple of mods on this site that have no business being mods. To phrase it the way it was phrased when I was in kindergarten "They don't work, and play well with others."

There should be a rating system that the paying members could use to determine who is, or is not a mod, and who remains a mod. The system could be real simple with 3 choices:

Shite
Neutral
OK

It's real simple. If enough paying members rate a mod as shite then Diz-X, or Senja pulls his powers, and the mod in question is no longer a mod.

There are several mods that I have had no interaction with, or have no opinion of. Therefore I would rate them as neutral. Simple enough - no action taken.

There are a few mods I would rate as OK. On my simple rating system that means they are doing a good job, or are approved of by most of the members.

The modding on this site has gotten heavy handed in a few forums, and the paying members should have a voice in who has that power in the forums.

PS - Please do not call out, or bring up mod names here. This is not the place for it. My point is that the members should have a voice in who is, or is not a mod.

this would be interesting, but i can just see members ganging up on a mod enough to have him/her un-modded..

some mods are really not liked, but they do a really good job. So this would be really difficult, but up to the bosses to decide i guess.

most, if not EVERY time its for a good reason, i have not seen ONE SINGLE thread locked that senja or diz would not have done differently, if you think Diz and Senja would lock less threads, then you are sadly mistaken.

I agree that it would be nice to have certain mods who don't do anything anymore, or don't do a good job taken care of, but being able to publicly call them on this would only result in pure chaos.

Really though, if this is directed at one mod in particualy you are having a problem with, contact Senja, I believe he is in charge of them.
