Purging Inactive Usernames

I decided to check the Member List to see who took the other two names I had tried to get: "Bossman" without the hyphen; and also my last name. ...It's odd my last name is taken, since it's a unique name and I'm the only english-speaking male within it.

Anyways, I have a suggestion for recycling old screennames that have not had much useful activity. The two names I was interested in have not been accessed for several months -- nor have they made any major contributions to the website in the months that they have been here.

I am thinking that there should be some system that would free up screennames due to a lack of posting or inactivity. Perhaps over a span of 3 months, a person should get 50 points? I figure if they can't get 50 points within 3 months, then they probably aren't even coming back to the site. If they are, then that will at least make them have a little contribution -- it isn't THAT hard to vote for a few pics, post a little into the Forum, or upload some pictures.

Who else agrees with this or who else dislikes it? Or a better question, since I have a tendancy to write rather incoherantly: does my suggestion make any sense?

i like the idea....but i think 50 is high....it could lead to a bunch of spam and stupid requests....id say 10 points every 3 months or you lose your account....thats 5 posts in the forums, or ten comments in babes/cars/news....or a hundred votes!

As for the spamming: How about the points counting backwards, when you have, say 5-7-10 posts in a thread?
That would elliminate the "going for Demigod"-threads.
Offcourse sometimes a thread is worthwhile, like "nudity in strange circumstances" "itty bitty titties" and so. But it´s my impression that the posters in these aren´t in it for points?(the good guys and girls)

It's really very simple. If someone hasn't logged on in 3 months, then delete them.

But WBW won't do that because they want bragging rights as to the number of members they have. So it's all a moot point.
