Problems reading some news items

I checked the forums to see if I could find a thread from someone else having similar problems, but didn't see anything, so here goes:

I can read the complete text on some of the news items. I can read some of the text on other news items (looks like it cuts off any text past a certain point on the page). On still other items, it doesn't show any of the text at all.

Just curious if I'm the only one experiencing this, and what I may do to correct it if, in fact, there's a parameter I can change on my system. I know I haven't commented on many of the news items, but I do read the majority of them.

You're not alone...It's an IE problem new since V4. I think Diz knows about it.

Here's one example...

full size

You can read it if you highlite the area with the mouse. It happens in other places, too. I'll do another screen shot when I run accross it.

Here's another from hot or not...

full size

The area appears if you mouse over the 'goto next picture' link. I've also seen the area around the radio buttons messed up the same way.

screwy - good to know I'm not alone. thanks for posting screen shots from your computer, saves me the trouble & they are the same problems. I had heard about other problems for IE since V4, didn't see any that mentioned the news.

suckrates - I know, I know, I'm still in the (digital) stone age with this browser.

fefe - yeah, most things are worth the switch, if only for WBW alone. My laptop has a lot of problems I'm trying to fix (too much memory devoted to WBW????) & I was trying to wait to dl firefox until I get my new desktop, but that's still a few months away & I don't think I can make it that long without a full WBW experience Perhaps it's time for a change.

tickler - I know its my own fault but I just can't help my need to be fed my current events while looking at beautiful women.
