I don't understand why I lose the total number of posts just because a picture is deleted. Number of posts should stay as the last one that was posted. I would have over 2,000 posts if my numbers weren't deleted when a picture is deleted. It makes it hard to try to keep posting when I lose over 50 posts in a day then try to make up for the loss.

I think the numbers should not be deleted just because a picture is deleted.

Actually I can sympathize with this. I used to be a big poster in the official spam thread, but once the threads started being deleted instead of locked I quit posting in them. A lot of people don't care about the points, but I do, and like you I hate losing points when something is deleted.

Thank you. I see some that aren't losing any posts but have gained alot and the last time they posted was in 2006 and their posts are going up, they must be getting the posts that I have been losing added to theirs. That just ain't right at all.

Do you actually keep track of other users post score??

Don't have a big problem with losing posts, so don't know much about it...

You made a good point in your opening post, but thats not the case. Posts taken from you aren't reissued to someone else. If a thread you post in, or a picture you commented on are deleted you loose points, but they don't give those lost points to another member.

well you have 2 choices, 1)post and enjoy or 2) dont cause you're worried about losing points, but the points dont really matter so i would go with number 1

Some people just get obsessive about it - but in the end you have to realize that its just a number on an internet porn forum and get on with your life.

Seriously.

Besides that - people stopped respecting demigods about two years ago, and points don't get you diddly squat - so who gives a fuck?

This site is based on contribution and the points indicates how much a user have contributed, therefor a little gratitude should be show towards a member with a high point count..

IMHO, respect is earned by behavior, a jackass with 30,000 posts is still a jackass

I didn't say you should start a religion based on any of the top 10 members But there is a difference between somebody who have earn 10.000points by contributing and some newbie. Not matter what they are like in person! And that is what the rank will give a hint about.

Well, on this board, the scores are status. We can argue all day long about whether or not that's moral, but that is the way it is here. Points are status in this community regardless of our thoughts on whether or not that's a good idea.

The points for posts add to that status. So if one is to have status, they should have to earn it by making contributory and pertenent posts.

Not crap posts worthy of being deleted. So I disagree, one's post count should go down if all they post is crap. Some of my posts got deleted last night, and they were funny too. But it was a crap thread and I knew it ahead of time.

If you don't want your post counts to drop, post quality posts in quality threads. Or do what I do... Post because you want to and don't give a shit about the fucking scores.
