Politics section?

I would like to request a politics section. A good place to argue world politics, local politics, and separate it by region.

I agree, there should be a politics section. The mods seem to abhor any mention pf politics in the other forums, so why no dedicate one solely to that purpose? Or is the assumption that we are all too shallow to understand/appreciate important world events; all we care about is chicks, cars, and movies?

With 500K hits a day, there is no way that we could have a politcal section without losing members! People would just sart huge massive fights and somebody would get hurt. Its just not worth it!
In my time here I have seen several threads started with good intentions but somehow it got political and a lot of bad things was written. Nothing good ever came out of it. Just not worth it.

Problems with politics is that we had a lot of flame wars about it already. People getting pist because of somebody else way of seeing things.

Welcome to the future of WBW politics forum. Your post above is the perfect example how the flamewars would take over the whole forum.

If you've read the USA-themed threads made in WBW, they've always turned into politics and finally a huge flamewar. People just can't discuss civilized.
