Paypal Payment option????

Hey,

I have searched the payment options and threads and would like to pose this question to WBW?

Is there any possibility of having Paypal as a payment option?

The reason I mention this is more from a privacy point of view rather than the payment option. Like many people using credit card payments, the bill may well go to (staff members, family or people you would rather not have info going to).

I believe more of us (living outside USA) would be more likely to subscribe. were it not for the billing info that accompanies the payment.

I use Paypal for my business and find it very beneficial to online visitors who prefer security.

Any thoughts guys

If i remember right, there were some problems with paypal.. like money transfers or so.. Diz did a topic about it.. like a year ago..

thanks for that info. I did search but not specifically on Paypal. There is a lesson for the future searches.

However, if Paypal is a none option, then maybe there is other alternatives for the points mentioned. I am confident more people would financially support if other options were available.

Alterantively, why not make the payment option with a none specific service. I mean whats boys wany . com is pretty specific isnt it.????

Why not use a none invasive name or neutral.

The banking option only helps in USA. To raise international checks are too costly and again invasive.

PayPal royally fucked over WBW. Thats why we don't use it anymore, and the fact that they specify "No Adult Material."

However there are possibly some new options, soon Google will be announcing a Payment Service. But Yowcow and the other options are up in the air.

I have had some bad experiences with Credit CD on the net. One site I subscribed to just continued to take money off my card regardless of my attempts to thwart it. I ended up cancelling the card which was a real pain in the ass. I dont suggest that WBW would do that at all (as it isnt the site owners doing this, it is the clearing houses) but at the moment there is a huge case going on with over 500,000 international. CCD's being milked / scammed, from the visa clearing houses in the USA.

I was notified only yesterday (after this post) that my card had been one of 500 from my bank on this list. It was only $46 but I never used it.

Were there an alternative way to pay, I reckon we would all benefit.

I have my own business site and have secure payments online with a significant monthly fee for the privilege of doing so. However, any security issues over these credit card payments are not mine, but the security company. This is the current situation visa faces, but it is only USA based sites that are effected.

Let me clarify this post IS NOT REFLECTIVE ON WBW. This is a great site, but like myself many consumers are becoming wary of Internet Commerce.
