Parallel Downloads

So I have a sponsor membership, and i noticed that it says sponsors are able to have a max 8 parallel downloads for movies. But, for some reason i'm only getting a max download of 2 movies at a time. and when I'm downloading two movies I cant access any other portion of the site. I have to wait until at least 1 movie is done downloading before any of the site will become active again. what's the deal?

I had this exact same problem when I was a sponsor. I asked, but never did get an answer, or a work around. I did figure out that if I used my AOL browser instead of my IE browser I could get 4 at a time for some reason. However when I was getting 4 I could not browse the site until one finished and it dropped to three.

I'm fairly certain that I was able to download more than 2 videos previously. That's weird.

I know in IE there's a registry key that limits your default downloads to 2, if you can edit that (forget the key off the top of my head) you can make it whatever you want. Then the only limit would be how many WBW decides to make for you. Hope that helps.

Check from your browser's config (type about:config in the FF adress line) that the value for "network.http.max-connections-per-server" and "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server" are OK. If those say 2, then it's two connections per server.

Get where I'm going with this?

wit, it was "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server" that was set at 2. i just reset it it 8 and now i can get that many downloads. thanks a lot dude, that was exactly it.

IMO it's fucking idiotic that Firefox defaults the persistent connections to 2, it's rediculous

yeah i have the same problem ..and its shitty slow ..most of the time less than 200kps which is shitty. Honestly ..if us people are paying "sponsors" we should get faster bandwidth. Its slow enough in fact that i doubt id pay again for this place.
bandwidth is cheap ..and getting cheaper every day ...to keep up with other top-quality sites ... you guys better speed it up ... a partial t1 speed ain't cuttin it anymore.

Traff: If you read the post by Wit, he stated that typing "about:config" in your address bar will give you the screen you need. I think this only applies to sponsorship subscribers.

Oddly enough, mine's set to 22.. not sure if I changed it long ago, or if it's just weird for me.
