I thought there was some rule here about what amounts to "gratuitous" posts??

Example: Having a set of say 30 pics, and uploading them one at at time,, in an effort artificially inflate ones post count. Rather then 5, 10 or 20 in a post.

I see it happen often, yet no one says anything about it,, but you are almost guarenteed to to get spanked for going over 20!

Not everyone has broadband. If you have ever loaded a thread that has multiple pics per post, you would realize that it is a painfully slow process. For this reason I have always posted one pic at a time.

I can appreciate that, and understand your situation.

But there are others who post 30 in row back to back,, and it's obvious they are not on dial-up.

good point. that's ridiculous.

a rule should be made; for example: 3 pics/post/minimum. except the who's that girl subforum.

Perhaps you are right. But then what happens if I want to caption a particular pic. Then it is possible that the caption is lost.

I've been on numerous forums, but this is my first day here. I've seen people do anything to get a post count. I've always thought that admin should recognize what that person is doing and GIVE them an extra 50 billion post count. If that's what makes them happy, then make them orgasmic.

Seriously, why is a post count such a big deal? If that person wants to contribute, let them do it the way that works best for them.

It was a big deal when 7000 points was an aspiration of a number of members. That was three years ago though.

I give a shit! And so do alot of other members who have to look at it. When I enter a post and see that its a "one pic per post" thread, I will 9 out of 10 times leave just as fast. So if you cared more about your fellow members than your post count, you wouldn't post like you do.

I agree that there shouldn't be a single pic per THREAD. However, I like it better when each post in the thread is a single full size pic, rather than a shit ton of thumbs. That's MY personal preference. To each their own. If you don't like a thread, GTFO of it and find one you like. Everyone has their own style of posting. So long as it's not one pic and that's all there is in the thread, I don't see why there should be an issue.

I agree with this.

If there is going to be a rule it should be: 1-3 Full-Sized Hotlinked pictures per post. 3 or more thumbnailed pictures per post. Putting only one or two thumbnailed pictures per post is kind of a waste, and is obvious post whoring.

That being said, the anarchist in me says that we don't need no stinkin' rules.
