If someone makes a thread with gifs, maybe they could give us a heads up in the title. I'll have a look, but when there's 30 gifs loading at the same time I'd rather not have a look.

Unless you have a very low bandwidth, you shouldn't have trouble loading a page of gif nowadays ?

I have no trouble with multiple gifs on a single page loading.
But then, when I upgraded my internet they dug a trench to lay the 10 inch diameter cable to my house.

On a computer it's no problem, on some mobile devices, it can be.

Exactly! On a lot of post, I just get a little box with no gif. You have to reload many times. Too man gifs on a page and/or post it seems? Maybe I need 4g instead of 3 g? I love the gifs but I aint got all day

Well maybe threads with lots of gif could be named [GIF] Thread name then. But it's often the case from what I've seen.

I have a very high bandwidth, but there's also the machine in question. My main PC is about 7 years old now. Opening that many gifs at once, plus all the markup on the page and all of the "features" that tend to accompany some sites... Especially if I already have a different tab loaded...
It pretty much crashes me out. Or it at least puts an enormous strain on my PCs resources.
A warning wouldn't hurt. I appreciate Poida making the initial request.

If you find some gif heavy threads, post them here and I'll mark them as [GIF]

Is there not a limit to how many gifs per post are alllowed ??
Seems daft if you're allowed 20 gifs per post x 20 post per page x 1mb per gif = 400Mb web page.
3 gifs per post would be my suggestion.

There is a 3 fullsize pics per post limit already so the same applies for gif since you can't really post a thumb of a gif.

People who need warnings on lots of gifs probably shouldn't surf the internet at all IMHO. I'd rather go hungry a few days and save up for a new PC.

Maybe people could also post am unattractive, and overweight warning on threads that include pictures of wives and gf's that really shouldn't appear nude.

It's mostly a bandwidth issue, you starve till your ISP digs up the road to lay fibre
