my recent password protected thread

really proved that there is a major leecher problems here i had 9 pages of pms from people that registered last year on this site and yet to make one posts i ask you is this the type of member you want at what boys want [i really dont think these are the members you want to attract]

all i had ask for was little replies to my threads for fucks sake i had to even ask the people that downloaded files to let me know if it worked even at that i didnt get any response wtf is wrong with these people

what is wrong with them saying thanks if they downloaded something its not expected in every thread but once in a while wouldnt hurt either

and listen i think that the stuff i posted deserves at least a reply as all of it took a while to make im talking about all the special stuff i posted

the mini dvds
the svcd/vcd files
the iso files
the series of clips that i jioned and made into 1 file and recoded
all this takes time

its one thing just to post links to mpeg its another to go the extra like i did

and lets not forget about all the bullshit about im a sponsors and i dont want to dl 30 pieces crap that i had to go through some times uploading the files 2x to keep the masses happy

what i did with password i see as nothing wrong whats the matter with wanting to reward the members that contribute to the forums and not just to the leechers

diz-x there are alot of problems that need addressing before your new version comes out all have to do with the leechers the leechers are fine just rating pictures in the hot or not section, but they dont belong in the forums to stop leechers you need to have a tier system in the forums

until that happens this site is and will be overan with leechers
which is a damn shame cause its a great site with some great members

That's all well and true, but not all of us have stuff to share. If I had, I would put it up immediately. I could repost stuff, but where's the point in that, that's only abusing bandwidth. Not all of us are so fortunate that we meet girls, either online or off, that will grace our screens with their bodies.
And the thank you's? Well, I think they are made implicit by the amount of people that are downloading your stuff and look out for all your posts.

I just don't agree with this being in any way helpful to the forum: people who leech will only get pissed off and try and leech even more. People that already have tons of stuff will get even more. And the midsection suffers.

You do have a point in that mrmarco, people should give more feedback on the material contributed here. The least thing the first people could do is to tell does the frigging file work properly!
Oke, many whine if it is corrupted, but if no one tells it works, others don't have a certain way of knowing if it works or not.
Think about that when you next time download a movie....

And think of it in this way, if you'd contribute something here, wouldn't you want some feedback or a simple "nice vid, thanks for sharing " comment?

But passwording a file and giving the pass to only "selected" people is something I don't personally approve either. So I would have done just as same as Cobrian did, and delete every single passworded file from the forum.

That kinda behavior is against the basic consept of WBW, and is hurtful to the community by dividing people based in opinions of the few who have/find good material to contribute.
That just is not right IMO.

If changes are to be made, they are made by Diz, and if dividing people to different "categories" is to be made, it will also be made by Diz.
Categoring is allready going on here, in the form of sponsor membership, which gives you nice little perks compared to non-paying members.
but a big perk has been broken by many contributors in way of splitting the files using WinRAR to bits under 1 meg!

the limit was originally here to prevent non-paying members to hog a shitload of bandwidth, but the contributing people themselves took away this by splitting files, and now they are here to judge the people who want to download the files...

I don't know has anyone noticed, but I have not uploaded a single picture to this site and have posted only a few attachments, mainly in fun forum
In the other hand, I do "work" here, but I am also what people call a "leecher".

Admit it, you all came here just and only because of the free content
If it wasn't here, would you have registered, and became a part of the community?

quite simple the content that was provided. wasnt denied to anyone that even made a attempt to post in the forumm and eventually the password would have been posted

And for the conclusion, I ask you people, no matter how pissed at everything to wait till v.3 comes out!
Many things will be made differently then, and many problems will be solved, there is no need for temporary solutions that cause fights and bad mood amongst members.

These "leechers" you speak of, may not have access to uncpoywritten material and therefore have nothing to share.
If you convince those people to post things, the already huge problem of people posting copywritten material will increase.
I have to delete WHOLE threads because people are too lazy to read the rules that I have posted in my forum and are on a static link all over the forum.
The more you convince people to share, the more stupid people come out of the cracks.

If you can read and submit a form for an account here, you can search the internet for porn. If you're too incompetent to stumble upon one of the hundreds of thousands of TGPs then you shouldn't complaining. Yeah, I know the more people that contribute the more idiots that post copyrighted stuff.

WBW is a victim of its own success.

Ultimately, what this comes down to is Diz's rules of this forum. Diz wants this to be an open community, he gets to set the rules of who gets to download what, period. Once people start to password protect files, they are disrupting the rules Diz has put forth previously. If you want to post password protected files, do it somewhere else. Maybe do it somewhere where you are paying for the bandwidth, cuz as it stands now, the only people paying for WBW's bandwidth are Diz and sponsor members.

As this and other threads are why I will never say a fucking word defending my opinions.
