kicked off server: update

I keep getting kicked off the server. I doesn't seem to matter which one. I get booted about every five minutes or so. Anyone else or should I look locally?

I've never been kicked off in 2+ years, so I would suggest looking locally!!

Working fine for me.

It's been slow on and off for me, but I haven't gotten booted yet.

I got booted once the other day. I wasn't fond of it.

Just happened again after 10 minutes.

I think I'm gonna follow the big wire downtown until I find the problem.

What happens when you get booted? Because often I'll be logged on one minute and then logged off the next. I don't sign off or anything...it just happens, I often don't even realize it until I try and post. It happens more on my iTouch but still happens on my desktop too.

Yep, that's what happens. I'll be logged in and click click clicking like Boomhauer and I'll go to make a post and find out I've been logged out. In the past it was occasionally a problem with the servers. At this point I'm not sure.

I would say that it happens almost everytime I'm on...like legit 95% of the time. If I'm on for 30 minutes, it probably happens twice in that time.

Do you guys have the "log me on automatically" tag thing clicked? I do and I rarely get booted like that.

The only annoying thing that happens is very often when I click on the "view new threads" thing I only get one or two threads to choose from, which means I have to manually browse the forums individually to see what's going on.

I've been getting booted about every 10 or 15 minutes but only for the last couple of days. The site is usually very solid. That's why I'm kinda wondering if it's my connection or not.

Does the site have a time out feature at all? I've often wondered if so and how long.

yes, it's been happening to me for about a week this time.

the other night all of the online green icons were gone.

I had no trouble posting tho'.

( I do have the auto login on!)

sometimes it is less than 4-5 mins. and it logs me out!!!


sucks because then it says on(view new posts)1 2 3.....6179

Its been happening to me as well, tried the auto sign in, helped some but still happens. Told FeFe and she said she'd pass it along to Diz.

Update: I clicked on the "Log Me In Automatically" feature and I have been on for over three hours without
being kicked off. Don't know why but it works.

I have been told to try the 'log me on automatically' thing but it didn't change anything for me although I upload and browse through the galleries at the same time f.e. In time it is pretty annoying.

Same thing with me, sometimes after 2-3 minutes..

I have the log in box checked, so I never get kicked off. However, I very often get network timeouts. Some nights(most nights during the week, weekends seem to be cool) I get a set of timeouts that last anywhere from a few minutes to 10 minutes; these occur just about once per hour or two. Every once in a while, it gets to a point where it makes doing anything productive just about impossible.

Do you get an indication it is a network timeout or are you just randomly logged off?

Because if you don't check it, the cookie won't automatically identify you as a member when you log on, or when a timeout occurs.
