Problem with sending money is it's not secure! I know mail order people who see money in an envelope trust me it doesn't arrive where it supose to be... and then we get a lot of complains that we don't take it serieus.

Another thing is I don't like giving my personal information free on the web. You could have done a whois lookup and found my address. Because WBW is at the moment a non profit organisation this will never happen.

I'm very keen on a sponsorship, but wont jump straight on the 12 month.... and heaven forbid ...if i dont like it and i sign up for a month will my card automatically be charged the next month?

Transfers to another EU-country are of the same price as homeland transfers if the transfer fills the following conditions (in my case i.e. free)

× The payment is in euros
× The amount is no more than 12 500 euros
× The receivers account information is provided in the IBAN-form
× The BIC/SWIFT-code of the receivers bank has been provided with the transfer
× Both parties pay their own expenses from the transfer

I still think bank transfer would be one good option

Mr.Ugh: It's not recursive so you have to do the next month payment by hand! So no automaticly charges!

2checkout.com is a bad payment service I read a lot of problems with it.

personally I've found no problem paying with paypal or with my creditcard. however, if you don't have a creditcard, things are bit more complicated
the send-cash-by-mail option isn't gonna work for reasons Diz already stated. besides, if Diz would want to mean harm, he could just say he never received it

How about some bank transfer ?

My brother from Canada send me ocasionally money through personal checks and also via Western Union... Works good... there's smaller comision for the checks compared to the Western Union...
Debit Cards works good also... And it less risky then with Credit Cards...
There are also special CC/DC for Internet use only...

K.I.S.S. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

First of all there is an issue with security, me personally I don't like giving my CC details because I go to too many "dodgy" sites, and lord knows what sort of spyware etc they put on my puter (hacking sites etc).

Then you have to consider popularity of such payment methods. A Credit card is probably the most easiest and most popular. Then you could have payment methods like paypal etc maybe 2 or 3 of them.

The problem is that WBW is WORLDWIDE, it provides a niche market that I don't think I have ever found anywhere else. Keep it simple and I am sure the true followers will follow, the rest that just use it and those that don't contribute will take their traffic somewhere else, saving you money in bandwidth.

A good payment system will bring down costs to register so there for you get more members. the more you get and the more famous you become the more you earn$$.

Hey Diz you should check out www.orsm.net and email the webmaster there, he is thinking of making it a subscribsion service as well, plus he is an Aussie.

As well as that, you will weed out most problems concerning underagers!
