Originally posted by The_SentinelYeah, so if you were taking your images from another website (as most people do), then you're not allowed to crop them (to remove watermarks, website addresses etc.). So any images that are found in a larger form (uncropped) elsewhere will generally be rejected on that basis.
But if you have taken your uploads yourself, then I don't think cropping should be an issue (as long as the images have a minimum resolution of 720x720).

With that said, if you're old like me and have taken tons of amateur pics on film, expect a ton of rejections. If you scan a print and a tiny bit of the border shows, the mods call it "cropped". If you're scanning a high ISO negative like ISO 1600 or ISO 3200, expect to have it rejected as "bad quality" as they don't like film grain here. Polaroid scans? Don't even bother. Even if your scan is perfect with zero grain, expect to have it rejected as Pro/Celeb. I'm not sure how the pretty bartender I took a nude pic of in 1993 can be a pro, when her image exists nowhere on the internet. But that's how it goes here. I've given up uploading my film stuff. Its just not wanted here. You can contact a mod and they might put the photo back in the queue, but it will likely get rejected again. At least that's been my experience. Strange rejections are just part of WBW. I stopped letting it get to me.

Originally posted by omuhSorry for the late reply. I'm the one who rejected your pics as cropped. The reason being that they are, indeed, cropped and an uncropped version can be found on the internet.
If those are yours, then feel free to upload the uncropped versions you've obviously already posted on the internet.
(The only time we accept cropped pics is if you took the picture yourself, directly cropped it and then uploaded it on the internet. Meaning only the "after cropping" version exists on the internet. In your case, uncropped versions are on the internet so the ones you've uploaded on WBW are cropped in comparison).
Here's an attached example (what you posted if at the top, the result at the bottom is the uncropped version)

Originally posted by lucashoodzTo be fair, collages or "off/ons" were my first rejections on here as well. It wasn't until I did a forum dive that I learned that they weren't allowed.
The upload guideline makes no mention of those photos not being accepted. I think its been suggested here a time or two that perhaps a sticky with a boldface font in all caps, "REJECTION REASONS" would be helpful. I know that the original guideline appears when you hit the upload button, but its right next to the often ignored Terms of Service. I know I've gotten a lot of "help" from the "feedback" forum, but it was through deep dives of several threads of peoples gripes.
