I'm a genius, great idea for the site, everyone tell me what you think

I have an idea to make things better for the site, when you upload a picture or video, you have to wait a long time for someone to review the picture, the person doesn't know how long they have to wait, how many pictures are a head of them, you can make it so that it tells you how many pictures are a head of you, waiting to be reviewed in the que a head of you, this will be better for the uploader, so they know and are less frustrated and it will also be good for the mods, because then people will know, how much work they are putting in, and be grateful for there effort.

Thanks for sharing that link discoballs, the information on the link is 2 years old and the post is locked, so now I feel my idea is even better and even more use full, and I also think we should have a page, that identifies all the mods and admins, so we know who are the people in charge are, and also have a button where we can apply to be mods, I wouldn't mind helping out as a mod.

I like the idea; I wonder how much trouble it would be to make it happen. the only problem is I think a lot of people would still whine about the time it takes to get their pics posted anyway

I think it would be pretty easy, a few years back a mod used to post this information ever few months, so they already have access to this information, just a little coding to the site, and it could display that information.
I noticed what people get the most upset, at is that some peoples videos get posted in like 12 hours, while others take a few days to week to get posted, that and when there pictures get rejected.

I think it is a good idea and hopefully it would stop some of the complaining. I wonder why they stopped posting the info. I have heard people complain that they wait weeks for their pics to be posted and I have had pics take that long to be posted but I really don't care how long it takes, I have better things to worry about than that but some folks are very let's say passionate about the issue I am just happy to have new content posted every day to check out.

I'm not sure why they stopped posting that information, a mod named The_sentinel used to post that info, its was nice to know. Wow weeks to have your pics posted, that sounds like something that would demotivate people from posting. Any way dude that asian girl on your page is cute, too bad theirs only 2 pictures of her.

the reason it can take so long is there are thousands of pictures waiting to be processed, as much as 18K at times I have been told, and not many mods to get it done. mods are volunteer's and don't get paid either in the traditional sense they get perks on the site for what they do as I understand it. they are not 9-5 employees. I think they do a fantastic job let's face it if they don't do what they do the site would be at a standstill. they get a bad rap and have to deal with a lot of ridicules crap, I think it's sad. there are members on here that think that their every request should be fulfilled immediately and without question, it doesn't work that way. if you want a site to be your vision of perfection you need to build one of your own . you should send Sentinel a note and ask about why they don't provide that info anymore I'm curious too. Diz welcomes suggestions on how to make the site better and how to fix things that members don't like, he gets a bad rap too and has to deal with a ton of unnecessary crap. the guy has kept this site up and running for 20 years that is incredible. I could go on and on

oh, and that girl you're talking about I met online became fast friends with her and had a lot of fun cam to cam I wish I had more pics of her, she is a hottie

Ya I agree with you, Diz and the mods don't get the credit they deserve, most people are takers and not givers, as some one that built and ran sites, I know how much work it is, I wonder how many people on this site would be mods, if given the chance, I told Diz 2 years back, if he needs help I can help out as a mod, don't really have the time now a days to be a mod though.

oh I bet a lot of people would be mods given the chance, but you have to have the time to get stuff done or what's the point. the bottom line is you can't please everyone.

This post is a bit of "proof of concept", Instead of just telling Diz people might like it, this shows if there is a need or want for it, so for that reason I want to also hear from the people, who think this is a bad idea, and your reasons for it, so far the poll has been hovering around 80/20, 80% like it, 20% don't, I want to hear from the 20 percent also, give me your thoughts.

There is something else that might help too.
you have a set of a lady. during upload some of the pictures from the lady's set have already been uploaded (marked as duplicates) which means they were accepted. so the rest (that have not been published) you now upload could as well be accepted.
so if there is a Checkbox "set" that links the already accepted with the new ones and if the lady is obviously the same, then moderating wouldn't be easier? the system now is first pictures are accepted and then you earn credits by linking pictures.
of course the Wbwcom Team might have already examined something like that.
