how u put up pic???

how do you post a pic so it comes up on the message board already full size and not a thumbnail you have to click to enlarge. I tried and a little X came up instead of a pic cause i'm slow minded and didn't do it right.

to put it up full sized it either has to be hotlinked from another site
or an uploaded .gif file
