How to tag

It's a valid point though ... Why not let people tag there own uploads ???

That could be one way of finding the middle ground I suppose. Omuh has said that he is looking to add more taggers so there was no reason why people who are interested in becoming taggers couldn't just contact him and say this, rather than offering idle threats such as 'I just won't upload my photos if I can't tag them'. Perhaps the tagging of ones own uploads would be a good place to start to make sure they tag things properly.

Indeed. At one point I remember suggesting that when we upload pics (or when mods accept it), a few tags could be added so each pics at least have a few ones to start with.

There should be rule: You have to tag at least 75% of your pics before(!) upload. But this required IMO rebuild all upload engine. But most of pics would be tagged at the moment of putting them on the main page.

The problem is that as a lot of pictures are denied when modded, people whould lose time tagging their upload only to see them not accepted
