How long does it take?

How long after an image is uploaded does it appear?
I submitted images 5 days ago and have yet to see them.

The images are from my own camera (which I thought would be a welcome relief)
The images do not promote any website
The images are 100% legal
The images are on-topic with the amateur nature of this forum

What is causing the delay?

May be because there is tousends of pictures waiting in the queue!? Don't worry it will appear most likely during the weekend.

check your profile under uploaded pictures it usely see how many in queue

Are the moderators adding picture 24/7 or is it a time of the day when you do that?

Good question, and why arent there more pic mods to help speed up the process, I cant see it being very complicated, aside from finding doubles.

I don't work for Sobe. I take the name since I live near Miami, FL.

The picmods add pictures when they have time for it, it's that simple
The whole site is running on voluntary-base, we don't have working-hours here

It sometimes takes more time to get them up and sometimes they come quicker, the pictures come to the mods from the queue in random order, so that more than one mod can do the job at the same time (If I have understood correctly).

So be patient, they will get up here eventually!

and what it comes to MandysMan23's questien, moderating pics is a LOT more than just checking for doubles, and that's why there are not 'too many' mods doing it
Lot od our picmods have been around since the beginning or from time when the database had couple of thousand pics, so you can say that they are experiensed and know what they are doing!

Problem is that every pictures has to be looked at, grouped by series, put into the right categorie, try to find out if a picture isn't a professional (Very diffult because lately a lot of prof pictures look very amateur). We are trying to add as much pictures everytime as possible.

Last couple of months it takes more then 24 hours to get all the pictures online, it has gone to a week or longer.

maybe adding a few more pic mods would be appropriate.
since the site is rapidly growing, it's only normal that the mods can't keep up.
