How does the submission process work?

To be clear, I don't care about timeline. I've come here, enjoyed the site, and thought I'd contribute.

If you're uploading a video, what's the process after it's been uploaded?

What's the...
W:2 M:0 P:0 E:0 L:0
...mean?

What's the 'Moderation Log?'

I keep reading people giving reasons their uploads were rejected. Where do they find these reasons out?

I uploaded 3 videos a while ago. I don't visit frequently, and a really forgot about it, but at one point when I came back, an upload was missing. The other two are in my "Manage Uploads" and I assume are represented by the w:2 above. But I couldn't find an explanation of the process anywhere.

W = waiting
M = Accepted and Awaiting processing
P = Processing
E = Error while processing
L = Amount placed live today.

At the upload screen there is a TAB named "Moderation Log".

Who moderates and can they help accelerate what gets published?

There is a small team of moderators (8 particularly active ones) that work through the uploads in chronological order. Currently there are 15,400 images waiting to be processed, and curently, on average, we process c.7-8k images per week (so roughly a 2-week wait for any new uploads).

I don't know how many videos are queued as I'm not a moderator in that area.
