cant figure out to get an avatar can anyone help

do you mean posting one to yuor profile ? Or having someone make one for you. If Whitney is a girl, you can send a pic and what you want done... name or initials or clip art, whatever.....

On the topic of avatrs though...the pic you posted won't make a very good avatar. The best pictures to use are taller than they are wider. square pics don't work very well.
