From queue to posted?

I read in a sticky that it can take a couple of weeks for uploaded pictures to make it onto the site, but about how long does it typically take once pictures are no longer in your queue to make it to the site? I uploaded 20 or so, and only have 9 left in my queue as waiting, but none have actually been posted yet. Is this normal or have they been denied? Thanks for helping the newb. I want to be a contributor, so any help is appreciated.

I will let one of the picture mods give you a full explanation, but there are currently nearly 23,000 pictures in the queue and i can only imagine that some of your pictures may have been removed for one of the following reasons.

1) Already been posted on this site. 2) Pro Picture 3) Watermark on the picture from another site.

I don't recall moderating any of your pictures, but from the 9 remaining in your queue, I can say that I've seen at least 3 of them posted in the gallery already. While its just a guess, I'd say that your other pictures were rejected due to being reposts.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. Some of them may already be on here, there are so many it is hard to be sure when I uploaded them. However, at least 2 of them are pictures I took, of girls I know. One topless, one just cleavage. So is it safe to say that if they are no longer in the queue, and they aren't listed in uploaded (on my profile), that they have been rejected for one reason or another?

Oh, and I try toi be careful in terms of the quality of pic, being a professional pic (although some of them out there that are "amateur" are hard to tell if they are pro or not), and I definitely avoid the watremarks or writing of any kind. I read the sticky on how to post to try to follow the rules the best I could. Thanks again.

With thousands of pics being processed every day, we simply don't have the time to message someone every time a pic a rejected and the reason why. Like I said, I don't recall moderating any of your pics, and I can't speak for another mod, but perhaps they just thought they looked like another pic they had already seen. We're not perfect, we can't remember every pic on the site. If you'd like to reload them, and let me know when you've done so, and what pics they are, then I'll try and approve the 2 you're talking about.

Once a picture is accepted, it only takes a few minutes for it to be viewable on the site. So yes, if it's no longer in queue and have not been added to your uploads, then it's been rejected.

There are still a topless and a few cleavage pics in your queue, so I guess those are the ones you're talking about.
Also, consider that even if you took a picture yourself (and have not uploaded it elsewhere), there is still a chance that it's rejected for example if the quality isn't good or if the girl looks under-age).

I can appreicate how busy you guys must be with that kind of picture upload queue, so no worries. I'm just trrying to contribute and don' want to waste your time if I can avoid it. Thanks for the responses.

The rules state 320x240px (or 240x320px) minimum.
There is no maximum size

I have noted in the past that if you have taken a pic yourself, include that note. I would imagine that mods see a lot of similar looking pics. If you took the pic, it's pretty much guaranteed they'll put it through.

The note / description field got removed from the uploads page with the last upgrade so you can't put a note on them anymore
