lately my email notfication has totally stopped....

any idea what has happened?


i miss the email notification.

why do you use email notfication...? why not just look at your profile and look at the topic that you posted in...

i am recieveing other emails fine. i am not recieving WBW email notification. scottstown, i use it because it is a convenient and instant way to know when someone has responded to me in a thread or sent me a PM.

checking my profile constantly is an inefficient method...as only the past ten comments i have made are listed...often times all ten may be in the same thread. as a modererator it is important that i know when people have responded.

thank you bumfuck for informing me that yours is working fine...maybe i have accidentally blocked emails from WBW...although i dont know how i would have done that...

Well the other day you had profile problems. Did you try and edit your profile again?

check your bulk mail file, thats where mine end up now, i use outlook with hotmail.

Maybe your provider decided to add a spam filter that is way to powerfull.. This lately happens a lot! Damn those SPAM companies.

EricTheViking - Contact your email host and let them know that you would like email from WBW to be allowed through. They should be able to let you know if the spam filter was the cause and they should be able to forward the email through. Also, many email hosts have webmail clients that show your email that was tagged as spam. You should be able to look in it, like bachiotomy mentioned, and see what's up.

i got it working again now...thanks to all who helped. for some reason the emails were being sent to my bulk mail filter despite that fact that i have made WBW one of my contacts...and since i had my bulk mail folder set to delete bulk mails immediately. fixed now though

gas- i have no idea what you mean about profile problems. i have never had a profile problem that i am aware of.
