Did I miss a discussion somewhere? I thought that r/gonewild has been specifically discussed on multiple occasions and that its content was allowed here, barring users who were also cam girls or otherwise professional models.

If I missed that reversal, sorry. But I brought it up not that long ago in order to have the issue cleared up. If I didn't miss something, we really shouldn't still be going back to this.

As to this challenge, which I didn't notice until now: https://whatboyswant.com/babes/show/1660119/user/60434

As I said, I wasn't the who deleted that and I didn't say that picture was a pro. I think I've been clear on that. So your charge to prove this is a pro is to the wrong person.

I said you can identify a picture of someone without needing their face. I recognized that picture and knew it was in our gallery. And wow. Here it is. I recognized her by her ass. Just as I said was possible.

If that's a reference to your last lengthy post making the same arguments you've made several times in the past, I see it. But I still don't know of any other discussion where Diz or Omuh changed their minds and said reject all gonewild posts as professional/copyrighted.

As Omuh has stated before, on multiple occasions in a handful of threads, "Models/Celebrities" was supposed to be replaced with "Copyright Violation", but Dizzy has yet to get around to it. Copyright violation is a general umbrella for both professionals pornstars, amateur pornstars (branded), camgirls, and any material that has an identifiable copyright holder. Our upload rules specifically state you cannot upload other people's copyrighted content.

United States copyright law states specifically that as soon as the content is created it is copyrighted for the lifetime of the original copyright holder plus 70 years. Anything made after April 1, 1989 is automatically copyrighted with or without notice. For further information you can check here:

[Link]

That means your post is copyrighted to you, people cannot re-use [reprint] it without suitable fair-use or your explicit permission

Now as to r/gonewild and pretty much any subreddit, the contents posted there are copyrighted by the posters. Specifically they state this in the r/gonewild FAQ:

[Link]

Just search for the term "Copyright" and it will show up in the statement, "Copyright is inherent and it belongs to you, the creator of the content." So unless you, or anyone else uploads content from r/gonewild and has explicit permission from the copyright holder to rehost their content to our servers, you are not allowed to upload said content. Right on the upload pages it says you cannot upload pictures/videos in case of the following: "Celebrities and Models or Copyrighted material". I know a lot of our users have some sort of aversion to reading but it is also reiterated here:[Link]

So no, you cannot upload stuff from r/gonewild to WBW——you cannot come in and upload pictures of say DiggityDank, ShyRedhead_V2, nina1987 to our servers. But DiggityDank can upload her own stuff. ShyRedhead_V2 can upload ShyRedhead content, etc. But I know you're going to ask, well, why is there anything at all on WBW? Well, WBW moderators don't have the time and capacity to research each and every individual piece of content. But as new tools are coming out it is making it a bit easier with reverse image searches. WBW has always waded in murky waters with copyright law. That is why Dizzy created ChickUpload under a different company so if they get sued only ChickUpload will be affected. WBW dwarfs the content and traffic of ChickUpload, so it isn't that big of a deal if it is taken down. That is why all professional stuff has to be hotlinked.

WBW has always had an unsaid policy of removing things upon request and apologizing, and claiming ignorance.

We have already had various models (including a few from r/gonewild) and agencies file complaints and copyright take downs on WBW. We need to remain as small of a legal target as possible so easily identifiable stuff will be removed immediately. Last thing we need is a class action lawsuit against WBW (using the new Trans-Pacific Partnership) and have to scrub WBW entirely and give up a whole lot of personal and billing information to various governmental agencies to pursue legal recourse.

So what seems more reasonable? Being a bit overzealous with what can and cannot be uploaded to WBW or to become a big legal target? So yeah, that is a no-go on r/gonewild.

Cue Tiredeyes secretly being Chocolatekittyy.

As you'll see in my profile I have copyrighted all of my uploaded material and will be expecting payment on the 1st of November 2015.

I will repeat ..

Quote:
All of my content uploaded to WBW.com is mine, I have given permission to WBW to display my uploaded material on the basis that on 1st of November 2015 you will pay me USD $5 for each individual piece of content.

In fact if you read this message you are hereby charged at a rate of $5 per word you read, as per the 1989 US copyrighted law.

Everything is copyrighted by default (since 1886's Berne Convention) so everything one uploads is copyrighted content, except if they are the photographer.

Alright, sorry for the delay of the replay since I had to discuss that with both Kanzen and Diz.

So Diz stance on the matter is that no matter where the content comes from, as long as it's amateur and respect the rules, we will accept it.
However, keep in mind that:
- we will take down the content if we receive a DMCA notice for it
- some r/gonewild (or other similar content websites) users are or might become pro (camgirls, models etc.) so those won't be accepted/will be deleted

To clarify the r/gonewild portion - the majority are fine, but some are pro and the pro/camgirl ones will be deleted as usual. I'm just getting a little caught up in the English syntax... but I'm pretty sure that's what you're saying.

I read it as ALL /r/gonewild will be deleted, as they are or might become pro, which is why they will not be accepted and will be deleted.

So much for clearing it up eh ?

My opinion is they should post everything except for those that they are specifically told they shouldn't, by request.

Only those who are known as professional will be deleted yes. The others are clear to go
If some are accepted and become pro afterward, they'll be removed afterward from the galleries.

It's the same rule for any content coming from anywhere basically.

Yes, as it turns out, as surprising as it might be for some people here, a lot of women posing nude on the internet happen to be camgirls, pornstars and models since, you know, it's their job.
And, more shocking, most of the "top 10 sexy amateur selfshots/whatever" on many websites are in fact professional models.

More seriously though, as a pic mod, I do discover new names every day or so. So yes, there are a lot.

Yeah, you're right, amazing that all these models/celebrities have contacted WBW and specifically requested not to be posted, it really is becoming pointless uploading, there's so little content available out there that hasn't contacted WBW.

You do know that they don't have to contact WBW for us the reject the content if they are pro right?
I haven't modded those but just from looking at those thumbs, I already see 4 professional website content and 1 porn star. So yes, they are pro.

It's not "pointless" to upload as I see many members here uploading pictures that aren't professional content and they do pretty well. But I guess it is indeed pointless to argue with people who think they are "punished" while they have been proven wrong countless times and keep uploading the same kind of content.

I'm agreeing with you, whatever "professional website content" means, I'm guessing twitter pics

but I see lots of A list pornstars taking selfies on this site. These are women taking amature selfies, not pornstars
#4942803
I think one issue is what may look like a "regular girl" taking a selfie in her bathroom to one individual, may actually be a recognisable porn star/pro model to another individual. Not everybody knows EVERY pro model as there are a fair few. I have loads of images rejected for being professional and I too was initially annoyed until I realised there's nothing you can do about it really. There is no benefit for the mods to delete acceptable images, so when one is deleted there is normally a reason behind it. I'm sure mistakes are made from time to time (pictures being deleted accidentally or being logged under the incorrect reason on the delete log) but generally a mod will delete an image because it breaks the rules in some way.
As I said, I used to get really annoyed as I actually google image search each of my uploads before I submit them. I do this because I think I'll be able to find the best resolution of each image but also it should become apparent if one is a professionsal (her name will usually come up). But still many of my images are deleted (mainly due to being cropped, although I don't really understand this particular rule, or know how to avoid it) - you just have to accept it or you'll drive yourself crazy with frustration! I guess it makes it feel that little bit more of a celebration when a couple actually make it through...

To summarise - the mods aren't actually here to make you enjoy the site less, they are refusing images because they've been told to do so via certain criteria. If you want your images to be seen then you should create a thread in the relevant forum and post your images via hotlinking (or feel free to add them to one of my various threads if you'd rather).

A lot of pornstar/models selfshots comes from Twitter yeah but that's not what I was referring too. I was referring to websites that have professional content made by professional model (that sometimes looks amateur-ish). An example would be "nude-in-russia" content that is often uploaded here and is professional (nudist) content.

It doesn't change the fact the woman on the picture is a pornstar, even if she took the selfie herself. We don't allow that. Basically: if the woman on the picture is a professional model/pornstart/celebrity etc. we won't allow it for copyright reason and also because the website is about amateurs, real ones.

Thanks, that pretty much sums up what I'm trying to express.
I know you've be complaining/asking questions a lot about the moderating process and I'm glad you now get it
As for the cropping part, I have tried lately to not flag pictures that weren't obviously cropped (but were still cropped and duplicates) as duplicate instead of cropped. They are still rejected (as they should be) but at least you won't get a penalty for it (since the "duplicate" reason doesn't give you a malus). At least it's more fair since it's pretty hard to check those indeed.
