copyrighted pics

i was just wondering how can you tell if a pic is copyrighted
besides it being singed or whatever
people keep sayin that pics are copyrighted but i cant tell how
would appreciate any help here
so i can keep posted and not have to worry about posting copyrighed pics

unless you take it yourself, all pictures are copyrighted whether they are marked or not. Im not sure how they determine which pictures are allowed to be posted.

I guess the easiest thing to do is to use the image tags. I agree though could do with clearing up by a crew member.

As nearly as I understand it... the moderators look for the following attributes on an unlabelled pic:
1) Women wearing high heels are usually posed 'pro' pics that belong to somebody.
2) They check to see how perfect the pic is... if you can see every strand of hair and they have perfect, glistening makeup it's probably no good.
3) If the pic looks like it's been scanned from a book or magazine, they discard it.
4) They recognize pics from other sites and discard them.
5) They recognize pro models or porn stars and discard them.
6) If the pic looks like it has been reprinted, they probably discard it too. Pics are usually printed in magazines with a process that is obvious to the eye when it's zoomed in on screen.

I think dats it. Any mod wanna weigh in here?

Frodo, yep agreed.. alot of pro pics already on here, I guess they slipped through, which has to be expected with how many pics they need to moderate.

Just use them damn image tags to be safe man.
Works wonders.

ok, I wish someone would explain it

image tag (as i for as i know):

use the reply button and not the fast reply
write your msg (at least 3 chars) and click on the image button
the paste there the complete Url (including htt:// ) fo the pic

of course that works only if the pics is on a server somewhere on the internet

pro´s: u dont have to worry about copyrighted material
con´s: they worked as long as the guy on the other server want to keep it up so i they remove the pics form their server u get a red X.

another problem is that some server block hot linking so u cannot show their files in another address (not sure that would cause red X´s, most of the time u get a image that says "not hot linking pls or something like that"

i supposed the pics u posted on the wet t´s thread were copyrighted since a lot of them were pro models or pro shoots (meaning 100% accurate illumination - let say 2 or more lights aimed at the model, i did some photo and film making a long time ago only to discover how to tell pro from ametuer porn!). nothing personal
