Hey there all, just wondering when I come across a pic in a thread that I want to make a comment on. How do I do that with this new format?

The old way all I had to do was go to where the pic was and quote on the specific post (and if there were more pics in the one post just find the correct link to the pic)

But I cant seem to figure out how to do it now.

Can you please help

thanks

Good question...that's what I've been asking myself, too...It always says [image] but doesn't show the image like it used to do before the big change.

Not sure if this has been answered for you yet but there have been many changes and that is one of them.

The reason for it IMO would be to help keep threads clean and not so cluttered with quoting posts. If you are needing to quote for a specific image you will have to click on the original hotlinked image and then copy & paste the code for it in your post.

diz changed it, and it's better this way imho. he'll prolly say his reasons in here later...

I liked it better the old way.

You can still quote an image, but you have to type the code in yourself now, instead of using the quote button.

It's frustrating, but it serves a purpose, I suppose...

I believe Diz implemented it as a protection for the greylist system. Before you could quote to get the greylisted URL but that's not possible anymore.

There are multiple reasons why I did this.
1) Greylisting
2) Low bandwidth/Slow cpu users don't have to load multiple images
3) It gives a cleaner forum.
